FAQ
What is 'kahoko'?
kahoko is a weed indigenous to the Rift Valley region. We also use its leaves as one of our dyeing material. The kahoko plant perfectly signifies our company ethos - create with nature, turn a weed into a something beautiful!
What are the dimensions of the rugs?
Size | inches | cm |
---|---|---|
Small | 30" x 48" | 75 x120cm |
Medium | 40" x 60" | 100x150cm |
Large | 60" x 84" | 150x210cm |
X-Large | 71" x 96" | 180x244cm |
Runner | 30" x 80" | 75x200cm |
Sizes are approximate as above. Each rug is handmade to order, so their sizes might have a few cm deviation.
When will my rug arrive?
Because all our rugs are made to order, and handmade stitch by stitch by rural artisan groups, the production and transport process does take longer than your run of the mill factory pieces. Each rug will take up to 2 months to be delivered to your doorstep. But be assured that your truly one of a kind purchase will be worth the wait!
How can I clean my rug?
You can bring it to a dry cleaner, or you can surface clean it with a damp cloth! For normal dust and dirt, just dampen a cloth and dap on the rug. A little tid-bit - Wool has natural anti-microbial properties!
